File Retention & Account Limits
How long are uploaded files kept on Uploady servers?
Retention depends on account status. Anonymous uploads are kept for 3 days after the last download; registered free-account files are kept for 30 days; Premium files are retained for the paid period and can remain up to 60 days without downloads. Check the current Uploady terms before relying on a retention period as a backup guarantee.
Are uploaded files private and secure?
Uploady uses direct file URLs rather than a public file directory, and account/file controls can include passwords or security codes. A direct link can still be forwarded, so sensitive files should be encrypted locally before upload. See Is Uploady Safe? for the longer security discussion.
How does the daily download bandwidth limit reset?
Current Premium plans provide 50–300 GB of daily download traffic depending on the plan, and Uploady states that the allowance resets every 24 hours. Do not assume a specific midnight timezone; use your account and checkout information as the practical source for the current quota.
Downloads & Troubleshooting
Why is my Uploady download not working or stuck?
First check whether the file itself is still available, whether Premium is active, and whether you have remaining daily traffic. Then test the same link in both a browser and JDownloader. For a full diagnostic sequence, see Uploady Not Working? Common Problems & Fixes.
Does Uploady work with Debrid or multi-host services?
Uploady’s current terms explicitly prohibit using an Uploady Premium account as part of a debrid service and prohibit sharing account credentials outside the permitted household use. Third-party debrid providers control their own host support, which can change. Do not hand your Uploady login to a debrid service.
Can I use a VPN or proxy while downloading from Uploady?
A VPN can improve a poor ISP route, but it can also add latency or reduce stability. If downloads become less reliable, compare the same file with and without the VPN and keep the same VPN endpoint during an active transfer rather than changing servers repeatedly.
Why am I getting lower speeds than Uploady’s advertised maximum?
Advertised maximums are not guaranteed throughput. Your ISP, route to the file server, server load and download method all matter. See the Uploady Premium Review for my measured browser and JDownloader results.
Does Uploady support download resuming?
Current Premium plan pages list resumable downloads as a paid feature. I also verified resume behavior during Premium testing. For batch downloads, see the JDownloader setup guide.
Billing, Premium Keys & Checkout
Do Uploady Premium plans automatically renew?
No. Current Uploady checkout pages describe the plans as one-time payments with no subscription. You do not need to cancel an Uploady recurring subscription after the paid period ends, though it is still sensible to read the live checkout terms before paying.
What is an Uploady Premium Key, and where do I get one?
Uploady currently offers authorized reseller options in addition to direct checkout. Reseller purchases can deliver a Premium key by email, and the Uploady payment page includes a “Have a premium key? Activate it” option. Use the official reseller list rather than random key sellers.
What payment methods can I use?
The current checkout can show cards, PayPal, cryptocurrencies and additional regional methods, while authorized resellers provide another route. The exact options can vary, so verify the live checkout. See the Uploady pricing guide for plan and checkout details.
How do I add Uploady Premium to JDownloader 2?
Open Settings → Account Manager → Add, search for uploady.io, enter the Uploady account email and password, and save. A successful connection shows “Account is ok: Premium Account”. The step-by-step guide includes screenshots.
